Simon Vutov

Learning reliable systems for real-world machines and data.

Now

Building across firmware, data, backend, and simulation.

Computer Engineering student at the University of Waterloo.

I like projects where correctness and performance matter: binary logging for satellite firmware, real-time data tools, secure transaction flows, physics simulations, and low-level C++/Rust experiments.

Software engineer, firmware developer, physics-simulation builder, and endurance-sports person. Currently working at Deephaven and building with UW Orbital.

Things I Build

Beyond Code

Endurance, games, and simulations.

I run, ride, climb, ski, and play competitive ultimate. Outside of work, I keep coming back to vehicle physics, suspension systems, animation, boids, fluid dynamics, and small systems experiments.
